CACP Special Meeting of the Membership - Amendments to the Constitution

CACP Board of Directors is calling a virtual special meeting of the membership for the purpose of approving amendments to the CACP Constitution. A special working group consisting of Past CACP President Clive Weighill and former CACP Vice-President Vince Hawkes reviewed a number of proposals to amend the Constitution.
The Board of Directors adopted the proposed amendments at their meeting on November 15, 2024 in Rama, Ontario.
The purpose of the meeting is to vote on proposed amendments to the Constitution (By-Laws) of the Association related to the following:
- Number of Directors
- Qualifications of a Director
- Number of Vice-Presidents
- Housekeeping amendments
All members of the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP) in good standing are eligible to participate in the Special Meeting of the Membership - Amendments to the Constitution.
Voting Eligibility:
As per constitution section 7.7.1, only Active Members and Life Members who were previously Active Members are entitled to vote. Members must be in good standing to be able to exercise their voting rights.
In order for your vote to be counted, participants must register individually and sign into the meeting individually.
