Authentic Leadership – From Presence to Influence
The Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police in partnership with the British Columbia Association of Chiefs of Police are hosting the CACP/BCACP Women in Policing Conference in Vancouver, British Columbia. The 2027 conference theme is, " Authentic Leadership – From Presence to Influence ".
This year’s theme focuses on the evolution of leadership — building on established presence and credibility to exercise influence and drive meaningful change. The conference will explore what it means to lead authentically in policing and public safety, highlighting the importance of mentorship, resilience, and creating space for diverse leadership styles. Sessions will examine leadership experiences both within and beyond policing, including navigating boardrooms, advancing equity, and shaping organizational culture.
