Job Description / Duties
Key Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Integrated Health & Wellness Manager, the Clinical Psychologist is responsible to provide clinical and psychologicalexpertise/knowledge to the Regina Police Service. This position will be responsible for overseeing the Service’s Mental Health Strategy and performpsychological assessments for new recruits as well as members working in high stress units and teams. The position will work with the Service’s CriticalIncident Stress Management team as well as the Employee Family Assistance Program.
(1) Oversees the overall Mental Health Strategy which includes coordinating, developing, and evaluating the various facets of the Strategy.
(2) Conducts psychological assessments for potential new recruits as part of the recruiting process.
(3) Performs annual wellness checks for employees of the Service.
(4) Acts as a liaison with the Critical Incident Stress Management team to ensure proper care and follow up for members involved in traumatic incidents.
(5) Acts as a liaison with the Service’s EFAP providers and other community mental health professionals.
(6) Provides recommendations for improvements to the Service’s mental health programming and initiatives.
(7) Responsible for the development and implementation of program evaluation activities.
(8) Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Required Skills
Competencies
(1) Registered Doctoral Psychologist in good standing with the SK College of Psychologists (or eligible for registration in SK) with APE (Authorized PracticeEndorsement).
(2) PhD in Clinical Psychology preferred, or a recognized equivalent, from an accredited university.
(3) Four to six years of related experience in the field of Clinical Psychology.
(4) Experience with first responders is an asset.
(5) Experience with program development and evaluation would also be an asset.
(6) Knowledge of theory and practices of psychology specializing in operational stress injuries.
(7) Knowledge of validated psychological assessment tools for pre-employment psychological evaluations.
(8) Demonstrated experience using evidence-based assessments and treatments for post-traumatic stress injuries. Knowledge of best practices regardingmental health strategies and programs to maintain psychological health and wellbeing.
(9) Communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and partnerships to achieve desired results.
(10) Ability to research best practices in the area of mental health and first responders.
Although a PhD in Clinical Psychology would be preferred, consideration would be given to candidates meeting the following requirements:
• Registered Psychologist (master’s level) in good standing with the SK College of Psychologists (or eligible for registration in SK) with APE (AuthorizedPractice Endorsement).
• MA or MSc in Clinical Psychology preferred, or a recognized equivalent (counselling psychology, forensic psychology)from an accredited university.
• Previous related experience in the field of Clinical Psychology.
• Experience with first responders is an asset.

Salary: Salary: Level 13 OOS $119,825.00 - $154,382.00 Registered Doctoral Psychologist (four to six years of related experience) Level 11 OOS $105,444.00 - $136,033.00 Registered Psychologist (master's level)
