The Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP) in partnership with National Centre for Missing Persons and Unidentified Remains (NCMPUR) are hosting the CACP National Missing Persons and Unidentified Remains Investigators Symposium in an effort to bring together missing persons investigators and subject matter specialists from across the country to collaborate, enhance investigative skills, and share best practices.
The symposium will focus on identifying innovative and effective technologies, approaches and strategies in the search, investigation, identification, recovery, and reunification of missing persons. Participants will gain knowledge and proficiency in evidence-based, state-of-the-art, and collaborative solutions, while exploring tools and techniques from the initial response through recovery and resolution, vital to the missing and their families. The symposium will also examine the complex and multifaceted nature of missing person cases and the unique needs of diverse, vulnerable, and at-risk population groups such as 2SLGBTQI+ people, indigenous persons, and others.

Registration
On-site registration check-in starts Sunday, November 30, 2025 at 17:00 and ends at 19:00. The symposium begins on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 08:30 and ends on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 15:30.
Registration Fee
$645+ HST ($728.85) payable to Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police prior to the symposium by Visa, Master Card, AMEX or cheque (includes all plenary sessions, two breakfasts, two lunches and four refreshment breaks). If payment is not received prior to the symposium, delegates must provide a credit card number or purchase order to gain admission to the symposium.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made on or before August 30, 2025 are subject to a full refund less an administration fee of $75 + tax. Registrations cancelled between August 31, 2025 and October 30, 2025 are subject to a 50% refund. There will be no refunds for cancellations after October 30, 2025.
Please note: If registration is submitted after October 30, 2025 there will be no refunds issued in the event of a cancellation.
