120th Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police Annual Summit and Policing Trade Show
VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA – The Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP) will be holding its 120th Annual Summit and Policing Trade Show in Victoria, British Columbia from August 10 to 12, 2025. The Summit is co-hosted with the Victoria Police Department. The professional program revolves around the theme of ‘Geopolitics and Social Unrest”, with a particular focus on how they are driving a new wave of public safety threats requiring legislative reform, modern capabilities and coordinated action to match policing tools to the realities of the 21st century.
While it will not be possible for the media to attend the plenary sessions, we would be pleased to coordinate interviews with our guest speakers, where possible. News releases will be published after each of the following Annual Summit activities:
Sunday, August 10th
- Announcement of the recipient of the CACP/Axon Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Leadership Award
- Announcement of the recipients of the CACP Recognition Awards
Monday, August 11th
- Announcement of the recipients of the CACP/Motorola Solutions Community Safety & Well-Being Awards
- Announcement of the recipients of the CACP National Police Award for Traffic Safety and Road Safety Lifetime Achievement Award
- Announcement of the recipient of the CACP Policing Partnership Award
Tuesday, August 12th
- A media conference will take place from 10:15 to 10:40 Pacific time, in the Saanich 1 Room, on Level One of the Victoria Conference Centre located at 720 Douglas Street. It will be hosted by CACP President Commissioner Thomas Carrique and Chief Constable Del Manak of the Victoria Police Department, who serves as a Director for the province of British Columbia on the Board of Directors.
- The media conference will be followed by an opportunity to visit the Policing Trade Show floor from 10:40 to 11:40 Pacific time where you can learn about the latest innovations in policing and public safety.
- Announcement of the recipients of the CACP International Policing Award
- Announcement of the recipient of the CACP Award of Excellence for Combating Organized Crime
