SUMMARY:CACP Data & AI Leadership Summit
DESCRIPTION:Quick Links:\n\nContribution Opportunities Accommodations T
ravel Registration\n\n-- From Data to Decisions: Leading the Next Era o
f Public Safety --\n\nCanada’s policing environment is undergoing rapi
d transformation. Communities expect greater transparency and accountabi
lity, crime and social pressures are becoming more complex, and emerging
  technologies—especially artificial intelligence—are reshaping how m
odern police services must operate. At the centre of this change is data
.\n\nThe CACP Data & AI Leadership Summit is designed to equip Canada’
s policing executives with the insight, national alignment, and strategi
c direction needed to lead their organizations into the next decade of p
ublic safety modernization. This event brings together decision-makers f
rom across municipal, provincial, federal, and Indigenous policing to ad
vance a shared vision: a consistent, ethically governed, and operational
ly impactful data and AI environment for Canadian policing.\n\nData-driv
en policing is no longer optional. It underpins operational readiness, o
fficer safety, risk management, resource deployment, financial stewardsh
ip, and public trust. Artificial Intelligence amplifies these capabiliti
es—automating labour-intensive tasks, enhancing investigations, suppor
ting frontline decision-making, and giving command teams better predicti
ve insights.\n\nHowever, AI adoption requires strong governance, secure
data architecture, and coordinated national standards. Without these fou
ndations, policing risks fragmented systems, duplicated costs, and uneve
n service delivery across the country.\n\nThe Summit provides executives
with actionable strategies, proven practices, and clear roadmaps to:\n\
n* Build trustworthy, high-quality data environments\n\n* Strengthen org
anizational governance and oversight\n\n* Reduce operational risk\n\n* M
odernize digital infrastructure\n\n* Drive cultural readiness and data l
iteracy across the workforce\n\n* Ensure AI is deployed ethically, trans
parently, and safely\n\n* Align with national priorities, legislation, a
nd accountability frameworks\n\nExecutives will leave with a stronger un
derstanding of how data and AI directly support their mandate—safer co
mmunities, stronger outcomes, smarter operations, and greater operationa
l confidence.\n\nThe CACP Data & AI Leadership Summit positions policing
leaders to shape Canada’s public safety future, ensuring agencies mov
 e from being data-rich to strategically insight-driven and AI-enabled.\n
