The first ISIS Teaser Video was created during the second week of ISIS 2011. The team hosted several experts representing differing perspectives on the leadership challenges in Emergency Readiness. They chose to record their interviews, to combine them with the balance of their research to date, and to produce this You Tube style video as a preview of their upcoming global study tours to 8 countries.
ISIS 2011 recognized that prior cohorts had produced impactful research findings and recommendations, but they faced a common difficulty in adequately introducing their reports in the brief time allotted at the annual CACP conference. Thus, 2011 team elected to start early in generating 'buzz' around their research theme through this initial video and through the continuing use of a blog site. While the global research is both the main driver to and an important outcome of the PBL program, ISIS remains first and foremost an executive learning experience, with a deliberate emphasis upon 'transformative learning' and deep and lasting new perspectives and abilities. Thus, when it came time to present their preliminary research results to the Executive Advisors on the final day of Workshop 3, ISIS 2011 elected to open with the following brief video which highlights 'the ISIS journey" from both the personal and professional points of view of the members.
